This month, I received the great news that I was chosen as one of the Best Mortgage Pros and Elite Producers in the Washingtonian magazine Leading Lenders edition. I am never entirely sure how the top lenders are chosen, but if it’s based on length of time in the industry, I would probably be close to the top!

This summer, I will mark 41 years of originating mortgages in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. When I started as a mortgage broker, we were using typewriters to put together loan applications and mail to verify employment and assets. It took 60 days or more to originate a loan, and interest rates changed once a week. Clearly a lot has changed, and now I even have an RMC Instagram account!

I credit my long career to clients who have been wonderful to work with and many who have become friends. I have shared many of my client’s milestones and now am working with some of their adult children to continue the cycle. So, thanks to all of you who read this newsletter and have been part of my incredible career. And don’t worry, I still plan on originating mortgages for quite a while!

We also had another special moment at RMC. Patrick closed his first purchase transaction! We are looking forward to many more.
