Back to School at RMC
This week, most of your children and grandchildren start back to school, so, in the spirit of learning, I thought it would be a good week to share our upcoming schedule of Fall webinars and classes. As many of you know, I went to college to become a teacher and got my BS in Education from Bucknell University. I did not become a teacher because there was little hiring (mostly firing) of teachers in 1980, but my training has served me well as a mortgage originator. Much of what we do is break down the complex journey of buying a home into smaller, understandable pieces. We pride ourselves at RMC on the time we spend helping our clients understand the mortgage process.
Schedule of Fall Webinars and Classes
- “Unlocking Condo Approvals: What Every Realtor Needs to Know” – September 24 at noon via Zoom. Free. Open to real estate professionals who should understand the recent condo financing rule changes made by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
- “Divorce and the Marital Home” – September 29 at noon via Zoom. Free. Open to any homeowner going through or considering separation or divorce.
- “Home Buying 101” – October 5 at 6pm in DC. Dinner and wine included. Free. Open to anyone who is interested in buying a home in DC, Maryland, or Virginia, in the next two years.
- “Condo Rules Have Changed: What Every Condo Owner Needs to Know” – October 14 at 6pm via Zoom. Free. If you own a condo, you need to know these new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines to make sure your condo association is in compliance. Failure to maintain your condo’s compliance with these guidelines will have a big impact on the salability and value of your unit.
- “Divorce 101: Financial Considerations” – October 20 at 7pm via Zoom. Small fee. Open to any homeowner going through or considering separation and divorce. Invaluable information.
Patrick and I have also been invited to take our “Divorce and the Marital Home” directly to the offices of Family Law attorneys and other groups that we work with. If you have a divorce support group or family law practice and would like us to share this information at a meeting or event, please let us know.
If you can’t make the in-person “Home Buying 101,” we will also be offering a virtual version of this seminar later this year, and we would be happy to meet privately with you if you need information about buying before then.
We also started offering our “Home Buying 101” to employers and affinity groups, so if your workplace or group has young employees/members who could benefit from an educational program about first-time home buying in the DMV via a “lunch and learn” or another similar program, we would love to stop by.
